"Mrs. Catherine Landgraf, age 81, died Sunday morning in the home of her son, John Landgraf, 523 North St. Louis boulevard, following an illness of six weeks. She was born in Germany Feb. 14, 1846. She had been a resident of the city eight months, coming here from Providence, R. I. Surviving are three sons, John, of South Bend, and Jacob and Carl, of Providence, R. I., and two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wolf, of South Bend, and Mrs. Edith Miller, of Evanston, Ill. Funeral services will be held in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church Tuesday morning, Rev. William P. Lennartz, C. S. C., officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Until the hour of the funeral, the body may be viewed at the residence." [3]
