The People's Banner - September 20, 1900
Mrs. John Beierle died at her home in the southeast part of the city Sunday evening. Drs Beede and Burdick performed a surgical operation on her Saturday for a cancer of the stomach, from which she had been suffering for nearly a year. The cancer was so situated that it was impossible to remove it. Funeral was conducted by Rev. L.F. Smith at the M.E. church Tuesday at 2:30 o'clock p.m. remains being interred in the David City Cemetery. Deceased leaves a husband and ten children to mourn the loss of a wife and mother.

Mrs. John Beierle, a sister of Conrad Kirschner, died at David City on Sunday evening last, aged 56 years. She had been a resident of Butler County for 30 years and leaves a husband and ten children, 3 sons and 7 daughters, five of them being married [3]
